Aurana Coffee was founded by Danait Belete Tafere, an Ethiopian-Italian entrepreneur passionate about Ethiopia’s coffee heritage. Working alongside Alexander Yayne Seyoum, our trusted supplier relations expert, we connect the finest Ethiopian specialty coffees with roasters around the world.
Headquartered in Italy and rooted in Ethiopia, we work exclusively with top exporters to source only Grade 1 & 2 specialty coffee. From farm to cup, our process reflects integrity, sustainability, and world-class quality.

We ship globally, support ethical sourcing, and believe the world deserves to taste Ethiopian coffee in its purest form. - Vertical Integration: Direct control from owned washing stations and strong supplier relationships ensures traceability and quality from cherry to bag.
- Specialty Focus: A top-ten exporter nationally (among ~1000 companies), specifically focused on premium specialty coffees (G1 & G2).
- State-of-the-Art Processing: Utilizes both wet and dry processing methods to the highest standards, followed by secondary hulling, cleaning, and grading in Addis Ababa using 24/7 modern machinery to eliminate impurities and defects.

Phase 2: Mastering the Craft (Near Future): Expanding vertically into roasting. This allows us to meticulously control the final crucial step, unlocking the full potential of our green beans and delivering unparalleled freshness and tailored profiles to our customers.
Phase 3: European Distribution Hub: Developing robust distribution networks across Europe, ensuring our roasted Ethiopian specialty coffee reaches cafes, restaurants, and discerning consumers efficiently and at peak freshness.
